Discover the spiritual west country, land of King Arthur, mystical stone circles and scenic seaside towns...
This tour is great for families. Cornwall and Devon are the counties that many British people choose to take their Summer holiday. The regions climate is very mild and Cornwall is also famed for its wonderful gardens.
Day 1 - Winchester The ancient capital of England with its impressive Norman Cathedral with mortuary chest containing the bones of England's great Norman and Saxon Kings. Salisbury, the Cathedral has a spire reaching 404 ft. The Cathedral close is the largest in England which enables you to appreciate the dimensions of this incredible church. Visit Stonehenge, Europe's most famous Neolithic monument dating back 5000 years. Drive over Cranbourne Chase, passing hill top villages until we come to Old Wardour Castle, completely off the beaten track, set in wonderful English landscaped gardens, truly magical. Continue west until we arrive at Montacute House, and Elizabethan Masion set in a lovely village. The warm Ham Stone used to build the house looks particularly beautiful in the afternoon sunshine. Day 2 - Dartmoor National Park, Hound of the Baskerville country. Dartmoor is now the least inhabited part of England. See wild Dartmoor Ponies, wooded valleys with quaint thatched cottages and heather clad moor which glow purple and maroon in the evening sun. Castle Drogo, which has stunning views of the countryside. Made of granite and built in the 20th Century, the castle has beautiful secluded gardens. Overnight Devon.
Day 3 - Cornwall: Cotehele, a magical Tudor house in the Tamar valley. The wonderful gardens draw people from around the World. Sample the local delights of Cornish icecream and cider. Visit Tintagel, the legendary birthplace of King Arthur. The castle is set high on the cliff face and below the North Atlantic crashes against the jagged rocks. Overnight Cornwall.
Day 4 - Tour south western Cornwall. St Ives, an old fishing village with narrow alleyways, steep slopes and lovely fish restaurants. Artist flock to St Ives to take advantage of the unusually bright light. St Michael's Mount, according to Cornish legend the Archangel St Michael appeared here. On our return, see St Mawes and Pendennis. Castles built by Henry VIII to fortify the coast against the threat of invasion from Europe. Overnight Cornwall.
Day 5 - Glastonbury. The ruins of this vast 13th Century Abbey dominate this mystical town. The monastry has the tomb of King Arthur and Queen Guievere near the altar. Legen has it Joesph of Arimathea visit Glastonbury with the young Jesus, and returned with the Holy Grail. Wells, England's smallest city, famed for its three towered Cathedral and moated Bishops Palace. Drive through Cheddar Gorge, flanked with cliffs around 700ft high, and continue on to the City of Bath. Overnight Bath.
Day 7 - Bath. Tour the Roman Baths at leisure and tour the City and see the most elegant Georgian streets that make Bath so famous. Lacock, an entire village preserved with buildings dating back to the 13th Century. Last stop at Castle Combe, a picture postcard Cotswold village. Afternoon cream tea in the Manor House Hotel before our journey back to London.

Cost is per car not per person and include: The services of your professional authorised Blue Badge driver/guide with luxury people carrier with air-con front and back, local tax, parking, complimentary mineral water, newspaper, tour planning for vacations and theatre booking if required. Please remember only Blue Badge driver guides are authorised to give guided tours inside the many of the great churches, museums and castles around Britain. Guides gratuity is at your discretion.
Cost for extended vacations is based on a daily rate and number of persons touring. - For up to 2 people, per day cost: £350 GBP including guides overnight expenses.
- For up to 4 people, per day cost: £450 GBP including guides overnight expenses.
- For up to 6 people, per day cost: £550 GBP including guides overnight expenses.
Qualify for Winter* rates when you book two full day tours in and around London. Offer not to include period starting 20th of December to the 2nd of January. Touring on the 24th/25th/26th /31st of December/1st January will incur a £150 per day surchange.
Entrance fees are not included. Example of entrance fees: The Tower of London: £13.50 for adults, £37.50 for family (2+3) The British Museum: FREE, Natural History Museum: FREE, Science Museum: FREE, Shakespeares Globe: £8.00 for adults, £24.00 for family (2+3) London Eye: £11.50 Westminster Abbey £7.50 for adults, £15.00 for family. How to pay and cancellation
We accept Visa, Mastercard Or Cash. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will incur the full cost of tour. Cancellations with less than 14 days notice will incur 50% of full cost of tour.
